My Least Favorite Book Characters

A little while ago I made a post all about my favorite book characters, so I decided to make a post dedicated to all of my least favorite book characters! I am warning you that most of these characters are from fantasy books.

Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling (Fanart by alizakusuma)

She was the first character I thought of when I thought of creating this post. Most villains have some sort of motivation behind their actions, but Dolores Umbridge is just plain evil. The scenes when she has Harry repeatedly write “I must not tell lies” with the Black Quill is one of the hardest scenes to read and watch.

Chaol Westfall from the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas (Fanart by MerWild)

I hated how Chaol obeyed everything the King of Adarlan told him to do (even though he was obviously a terrible person) and I despise characters with blind loyalty. I didn’t care much for his book either. I’m still mad that in Tower of Dawn, Chaol couldn’t promise that Aelin was a good person doing the right thing when she was STUCK IN AN IRON COFFIN AND BEING TORTURED for her kingdom.

Reinhard Muller from Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anne Blankman (I couldn’t find fanart)

This book is about WW2 and Hitler is a character in it, but since he is a real-life person, I am counting him out (he’s obviously the worst character). Reinhard Muller is one of the worst characters I have ever read about. He beat his sister and always got away with it and even tried to murder her. He even killed her cat which was the last thing she had of their dad’s. He is very clearly a psychopath and I’m glad he died.

Jan Van Eck from the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo (I could find fanart of him, this fanart by Attarica)

Jan Van Eck disowned his son because he was dyslexic and repeatedly mocked him for it. I take this EXTREMELY personally because Wylan is too precious. He convinced everyone that his wife was insane to get her committed and Wylan spent so much of his life apart from her because of Jan Van Eck. He was willing to murder his son and tortured Inej.

There are a lot more characters that I hate, so eventually, I will create a second part. Comment down below and let me know some of your least favorite characters!
